2 week training offered before job offer - How does this work with JSA?

I have been offered a 2 week training period with a company, a little unexpected as it wasn't the way I was told the recruitment process would go but I am willing to take the employer up on this for a number of reasons money issues aside, only problems are I have nothing in writing, I'm not sure if training has to be paid and I am also on JSA
I'm prepared to inform the Jobcentre next week, but does anyone know what their likely to say about it? I'm just conscious it may not turn into a job at the end?

I don't think its legal to ask you to do two weeks training before you are even offered the job without payment, the Jobcentre would stop your money anyway as you wouldn't be available for work."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0

Are you paid? If so then just sign off, if it doesn't pan out sign back on in two weeks.
If it is unpaid you won't get JSA.0 -

You want to make sure that it is not just a work trial. If it is you will be paid your benefits for the 2 weeks.0 -
No idea whether paid or unpaid, no proof of what has been said either, (yeah I know never the ideal situation) it's tricky I was offered it end of day yesterday (despite reservations both sides) to start Monday, they reckon they have will have taken "all candidates on" despite there only ever being 2 or 3 positions so I can't celebrate till in a fortnight  at which point can the Jobcentre come back at me?
I can still look for work technically as the training is afternoon into eves and I'll be wanting to protect myself come potentially 2 weeks time, though can see the positives of getting out of house and into a routine whilst there is nothing else on offer
This vacancy transpired from the Jobcentre, so they will be all over it anyway? I don't know if there have been any incentives from other sources to make the employer take on more then only the couple of people they intended to? And this worries me, I mean this is shorter then the 30 day trial posters seen in JC's
Sorry if I sound cynical, I've come to have good reason to be0 -

Conclusion:
Well I have been able to keep my JSA with the unpaid training of 12.5 hours this week, employer said they will not pay and that we should still sign on, just in case anyone else finds themself in this situation when job hunting!
..JC 're-arranged' the most inconvenient appointment just to have a go back at employer, nothing beats "I'm going to be late in due to signing" when I'm doing my upmost to get this job!!! the irony of it eh!0 -
It is legal if you accept it - I guess they say it's a work trialsammyjammy wrote: »I don't think its legal to ask you to do two weeks training before you are even offered the job without payment, the Jobcentre would stop your money anyway as you wouldn't be available for work. We’ve had to remove your signature.
