Candelabras?!

Options
I am getting married in March 2014 and we're having a quirky ish theme, somewhat medieval. I have been looking for candelabras for a couple of months as to hire they will be £15-20, so I thought it'd be better to pay that to buy them and then sell them afterwards to make back some money!

Does anyone reading know where to buy tall white or ivory candelabras? I ordered some through ebay then the seller didn't send them to me and ive had to request a refund from ebay. I need 9 just for the guest tables as dont think I want one on top table.

  • How about trawling charity shops and spray painting them? My friend did this for her wedding with candlesticks.

I have just purchased a dozen of these for a dinner/dance I am organising next year, just going to pretty them up with some flowers round the base. Really happy with them, they are led bulbs so no naked flame also not too tall about 10" high, worked out at about £3.50 each plus postage. Have seen similar for more than five times that price !!

  • Thank you both. The trip to dunelm mill was worth it as found some glass bowls I'll use for a sweet table for £3.99! Paid £2.99 in BM home bargains for a couple of fish bowls thinking it was a bargain, but these I'll be able to use after the wedding too.

Worth checking out Country Baskets if there is one near you. Much easier to get a card to shop there now.

Just check your venue allows candles/naked flames before spending as many are clamping down.
  • I got some reasonably priced ones from Melody Mason @ £15 each plus 5 for delivery. Worth a look if anyone is interested in candelabras as they are really lovely. Yes I checked with the venue too as I would have hated been unable to light the candels!
