Hey,
I'm considering starting doing this and people have said you need to register with a few different companies to make decent money as the work is irregular.
So far I've found Outsec and Take Note. Just wondered if anyone else can think of any other legitimate home typing companies?
Cheers

These two are the only legit ones I've found too, looking for more myself if anyone else can help?0 -
Hi
How have you found take note and how much do you average per month and for how much work? I like the look of it but would like an idea of how much you can earn before signing up!!Became a first time buyer quite unexpectedly in June 2013!! :j0 -
I worked for takenote a few years ago - it was hard work for the money. I'm a fast typist - perhaps 70 wpm at my peak - the difficulty is you can't get going that fast as you are listening to audio which isn't always totally clear, you have to write it in a specific way etc. It is usually focus groups etc - at least this is what i was doing , its a few years ago so maybe this has changed. I think at they time they cited you were paid about £9 an hour - i averaged about £4 an hour because it took much longer than anticipated depending on the audio file. If it was a one to one interview it was much easier - when it was a focus group of many people it took forever.
However, they are a legit company, pay on time. I had my interview and test at their office in london and if i had had the time available during the day to transcribe live - actually visiting the companies that wanted notes taken, this was much more lucrative- but for a work from home thing it is less so.0 -
Do you always have to go for a face to face interview with these companies? I'm a pretty fast typist (100+ WPM) looking for a way to supplement my income in the evenings and this sounds like it could be perfect.0

that's exactly what I am hoping to do although not sure I will have the time to do face to face interviews if needed!Became a first time buyer quite unexpectedly in June 2013!! :j0
