Aga - upping efficiency.

We have a 4 oven mains-gas balanced flue aga.
I could bore you to death singing it's praises, but it does burn an unfriendly amount of gas.
We use less than average electricity and water, but about twice the average gas consumption (according to e-on and southern water).
The aga is a big heavy storage heater. The gas is burnt to heat up the lump of metal enough to cook on. If this heat can be kept in, the gas consumption would drop.
Now, I've taken the thing apart and sprayed the inside cast iron body with silver engine paint to reflect any radient heat. I've replaced the vermiculite with rock-wool as much as possible as it has a better insulation value, but heat is still shed from the surfaces.
Now the back is against a solar-block, insulated cavity wall. The sides are butted up against cupboards, most of the heat emanates from the sides and the front.
My idea is simply to cover the entire front and back with an insulation blanket at night. Less heat escaping, less need to replenish heat, less gas burnt.
Any thoughts or suggestions about where to get a blanket would be much appreciated. It needs to be about 1.5m x 1.5m.
The only problem I can think of, is that the handles would be very hot in the morning.
