I finally managed to submit an entry after 3 failed attempts so I can answer my own question - no, you don't have to choose FB friends, so if I win my daughter will get the iPad/tablet she has asked Santa for and the rest of my family will get some lovely treats too.

For those of you who, like me, have been getting the Oops message, I found that if you just drag and drop into the boxes it works, but if you double click on the items it crashes.

It is supposed to be random , so who you choose SHOULD be irrelevant. I think we all (ME MORE THAN MOST) would have our arguments on that . I would say that Currys and PC world ARE big companies and would cover every angle so it PROBABLY is an independent random machine that picks the winners.

I do see what you mean sid but if my MIL & FIL win a laptop each it will be just tough luck on them :-)

Both are in their seventies so will have to become silver surfers.
I'll teach them the workings of it.

Been down both FB and Friends route and for the last 7 times of trying I get 'oops an internal server error has occurred' message pop up. It's sooooo annoying! :mad:

For those of you who, like me, have been getting the Oops message, I found that if you just drag and drop into the boxes it works, but if you try to open them up to find out more details or click on the arrows to find out what else is available you are more likely to get the Oops message.

They show you different stuff to choose according to the price range. So if you can't see what you want, maybe it costs less than you think

I know this will sound a bit random and I promise i'm not suspicious but does anyone else find it odd that they don't seem to have announced any winners yet? As it's a daily and an awesome comp I would have thought they would want to publicise their generousity :undecided:
