Hi
I was wondering if its possible to get a mortgage whilst on a temp contact, and what I would need?
I work for a bank and earn just less than £25,000. Have been here for 4 months and should be here for atleast another few months hopefully.
Will need approx 90-100k mortgage.
Thanks

What percentage deposit have you got saved?
If I only expected to be there for a few months with no permanent contract......I wouldn't even think about a loan let alone a 25+ year mortgage !"Dream World" by The B Sharps....describes a lot of the posts in the Loans and Mortgage sections !!!0 -
About £30-40K...
As in this position, after that I will still be in employment, just not on the same post.

On a temporary contract, you'll normally find it would have to have a minimum period outstanding, such as six or twelve months, having been renewed at least once already.I am a mortgage broker. I spoke with a broker today who said Halifax and Natwest are reasonable banks when it comes to temporary work but you will need a proven employment history for 2/3 years before your application to be considered.0
