Abbey - Bank Statements

Hi
We are just going through the application process with Abbey and just had a quick question to see if anyone knows if the Abbey request bank statements when underwriting mortgages?
As just to be on the safe side I called my bank today to ask if they could sent me bank statements as I do all my banking online, and they told me that these would take 3 weeks to arrive. I would hate for this to hold up my mortgage application.

can you not print out a few statements ,and tell the mortgage lender your bank may take a few weeks to get there act together .At least it could get the process moving .0
