Still Awaiting 'Refund' from EDF?
Hi....I still have not received my refund of £237.79 since switching from EDF to SP on the 09/09/13 , even though their last email (dated 11/10/13) said 'the refund had been initiated for the period 11th July 2013 to 8th September 2013. Your refund of £ 237.79 credit has already been initiated and you will receive it within 7 working days?' Also told I would receive a paper copy of my final bill as well, which I haven't received? I Have received my final bill on line, which I agree with (email from EDF dated 09/10/13). I haven't cancelled any direct debits? but on checking my account it looks like EDF has cancelled the direct debit as I can't see it any more. Why? I have recently sent 2 emails without any replies as yet also? Really could do with the cash in my account & therefore would really appreciate £237.79 refund owing as soon as possible.
I put a complaint in on the 20/10/13, as yet not heard. Should they reply within 5 or 10 days? Is there anything else I can do to escalate matters?
Would really appreciate you help in the situation.
Thank You

Phone them?
I sofar had only good experiences with their phone customer service. Might give you a quicker answer than waiting for letters and emails. Even emails can take a few days to be answered. The DD are cancelled automatically for you as you have switched to a new supplier I guess and the new contract is up and running?01/26: OD £1200 600, CC £3914 3317, family £3100, loan £5618 5306- total: £13832 12323, mortgage £58,243 £57,7660 -
Hi... I did initially & they said it would be in my account next few days. But never as & now it appears the direct debit as been cancelled. Also even though EDF provide free numbers, you can waste your life on there. Last one was over 45 mins. Will dare to ring again as well though.joe2cool0
