Possible Prize advice please!

Options
Hi
I received a card from Hermes saying they tried to deliver a parcel last week (17th) and that they would retry on the 18th, my OH was in all day on the 18th and no redelivery was attempted. I haven't ordered anything and neither has he so can only assume that this is a possible prize?!

No attempt to redeliver the parcel has been made, I contacted the driver (the calling card only had a name and a mobile number on, no reference number) who said he would 'check the back of the van' and ring me back, he didn't. When I rang him again he said he will check the depot and ring me back, he didn't. I rang him again and he said its not at the depot and it will have been returned to the supplier who will issue it again for redelivery. As I now have no confidence in them whatsoever I asked what will happen if it isn't redelivered, he told me to contact the supplier which I obviously can't do as I don't know what the parcel is or where it has come from!

Tried looking on Hermes website and they have said that for 'contractual reasons' they can only discuss the parcel with the supplier, really don't know what else I can do! Just wondered if anyone else has had any issues like this and how they resolved them? Or on the off chance did anyone else receive a parcel from Hermes last week? Have tried googling my name but nothing comes up under winners...

Thanks in advance

    Wrong section.....

But MyHermes drivers are all self employed (anyone with a car can do it - most of the people I know that work for them don't even have proper insurance to use their car for work purposes)
Most of the time if they are unable to deliver a parcel they just leave it outside your door or throw it over a fence ---- they don't care, they only get 50p for any item delivered ...... so to them having to drive to your house again is a waste of petrol as they don't get any fuel allowance.

They also don't go to the depot - the parcels they deliver are brought to them by a van from the depot to their house, which then take any parcels they collected the previous day.
