Surely this is a con?

They're charging £15 admin fee on top of the government fee - site is very similar to government site

If you google the address (it's in the terms and conditions) you'll see that they also run lots of other 'booking' services.

It looks like they take advantage of the less savvy buyer!

    Go to the real one:

It's a bit like the garages which offer "MOTs". They'll charge you for taking your car to one of the DVA centres...

I watched a watchdog programme on this. It's common for passports and advanced passenger notices for immigration. Complete scams designed to fool the less internet savvy, but perfectly legal because of the small print.

Of course google don't mind as they get the Adwords revenue when they place the site at no. 1 and reinforce the scam.

    Oh i do.

Just thought it was a bit sharp of someone to set up a website to basically exploit peoples lack of awareness.

Very common 'service' for the unwary.

This poster got ripped off for renewing a Driving Licence in England

I saw the Watchdog programme too. Sites such as this just do what you would do, fill in a form, and charge you for doing it.

Give them a miss and hang onto your money. I'm sure you can phone the MOT centre yourself? :)

As i said earlier i use the online proper service. I normally just google NI mot online and click the link, but this was right at the top and i was quite surprised that someone had the audacity to do this?

So all this site does is arrange for someone to bring your car to the MOT centre?

It could catch anybody out. It's apparently a real scam.

Not even that. They just arrange the appointment for you and charge you £15 for the privilege, plus the MOT fee.

That's good of them - I wonder will DVLNI issue out a warning?
