Motorbike helmets needed - where/which?

OH has just bought a bike. :eek: He picks it up next week so we've a week to get at least one helmet and jacket.

Can anyone advise which is a good make of helmet to look at and suggest where to buy from?

Also, are leathers much and such or are there good makes of these too?

Any tips or suggestions very welcome.

OH has a couple of bikes, I would say both leathers & lids you get what you pay for.... the reason you get them is to protect yourself if you come off - don't go cheap! Having said that you can often get something good in a sale at a fair price. Don't forget boots & gloves - no good protecting just part of you! (How I hate seeing people on a bike without proper protection & even worse when the rider is in full leathers & the pillion is in ordinary clothes!

Helmet - you definately get what you pay for, under NO circumstances buy a second hand one:eek: :eek: , you don't know if it's been dropped or has a hidden flaw that could mean OH would be getting no protection from it at all.

Leathers - as good a armour plating as you can afford, large rallies are usually good for deals
