Hello you happy campers. It seems we are the happiest region in the UK if this article is anything to go by: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-24635183

Now I know why I laugh my troubles away. :D

Fermanagh is the happiest county it would seem but, conversely, Belfast people are the most anxious in the UK. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-24636367

I suppose that's what happens when you move from Fermanagh to Belfast - the anxiety gets to you. :D

I have felt much happier and much less anxious since I left Belfast - so seems accurate to me.

And we do generally seemed less stressed out than Britain, I don't think we take life as seriously here.

Good point and there is a lot to be said for that.

I tend to agree. I think the pace of life is slower here but can't comment on Belfast as I've never lived there. I'm sure it must be the same in loads of other locations on the mainland. It's the people here who make it different in my opinion. NI folk are always laughing. Those who aren't scowling anyway. ;)

    its a load off nonsence

Within Northern Ireland, Legenderry has the lowest score for happiness - well below the UK average, while Fermanagh tops the list followed by Moyle, Lisburn and Limavady.

No mention off Craigavon ,with all those roundabouts how could your stress levels be anything but high.

Rural areas company ahead of a city for happiness scores - seems reasonable to me.
From my knowledge of Fermanagh it is one of the few places where there really is a community spirit still, neighbours help each other, people say hello and have a chat in the shops or out for a walk or whatever.

Derry - I actually love Derry the people are so friendly, but I imagine bringing up a family in would be quite stressful, and would lower levels of happiness.

Legenderry wan here and I feel no extra stress for bringing up a family here :o

I'm not one bit surprised Fermanagh scores so highly for stress free, they have 2 speeds down there, dead slow and stop, but maybe that's the way to be :rotfl:
I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:

I always thought Legenderry (good name for it btw, save having to worry about offending people) was a very laid back place. They also seem to have the fleg thing well sorted. Everyone happily marching beside each other round the city walls. :D
