On this site dont people provide the answers ? .........isnt that a form of cheating?
In the T&Cs of most comps there's nothing to say that people can't share the answers. But in most comps there are restrictions on how many times a person can enter. Entering more times than the T&Cs state you can is, in my mind, cheating.0 -

I'd agree with this. Also, the answers are easily available and no cheating goes in to finding them. If answers weren't allowed on here, it would only take people a minute usually to find them. Using multiple emails, websites like hidemyass, deleting caches etc. and sharing the PDF voucher for all to see is in my mind, actual cheating.
I won my Novotel voucher on 10th of this month FAIRLY and it has now disappeared thanks to those who decided to do this.0 -
there seems to be so much cheating at the minute especially on facebook. I have spent hours today scrolling through my newsfeed and looking at many of my friends walls to get the amount of comps I have entered and it really has taken hours. And then like you say because of cheating these people are winning in minutes.I am a comping addict, I comp for fun but I love a postman knocking on my door0

If you won your Novotel voucher fairly your name should be on their Database so you should be fine.0 -
IMO when it comes to cheating it's not just the people cheating that are to blame.
I think here about the flash games where "highest score wins"
It would only be extreme naivety on the commissioning company's part to think that only "real honest folks" are going to win and that "no one would bother trying to cheat"
Not to mention the number of times that companies, trying to out wit cheaters, actually make life difficult for people with any sort of disability.
For example the sites that try to prevent form fillers. I broke my elbow a month ago and could only type one handed for a bit. Any site that prevented form fillers really made things difficult.0 -
I wouldn't have even thought of deleting my cookies to re-enter, for one thing it would mean I'd have to put all my passwords back in and I can't remember what they are half the time anyway!
I couldn't enter the Novotel comp for about two days because it said I had already entered, I assumed it was just a glitch.
I think it's despicable if people won and then resubmitted with different email addresses just to get one over on the company and win extra prizes that they aren't entitled to. It just ruins it for everyone else, but then I hardly think they give a rat's a**e about anyone else if they are willing to do that.
It makes sense now why I received this email from Novotel tonight (I won a free cocktail):Message from Novotel UK:
We are sorry that you may have experienced some problems accessing the Novotel Spin to Win site. This was due to the popularity of the competition and an unprecedented number of participants. We will be contacting all of the winners with a new voucher in the coming days. Knowing this may have caused some inconvenience, we have extended the voucher validity on the free Novotel Royale Cocktail, buy one main course get another for £1 and the three course dinner for two at Novotel, until 31st December 2013 giving you more time to plan your visit to a UK Novotel hotel.
It's important to note that any other vouchers previously downloaded from our website will no longer be valid.
Thank you
I wonder if they have done it to weed out the cheats? Hope so!0 -
Nobody likes cheating but any time and energy spent worrying about it/trying to track cheats down/report them is just time wasted that could have been spent more productively. No point in letting it bother you - there will always be cheats. Concentrate on your own things IMO xMAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOUR0

You don't have to delete all cookies. people can just go into delete cookies and choose one site to delete cookies from. I don't get it either in general though. A lot of hard work when there are so many comps to get through as it is.August-September 2017: Lots of stuff
