I dont know how to check them out.

  • Maybe they were sent a DM rather than announced on their twitter page?
  • I've been watching these myself, they do seem a bit dodgy, i messaged them a few weeks back asking who had won as i would like to congratulate but they never replied to me.

i thought they still had to announce who had won even if they had sent a dm?
    What goes around-comes around
  • See exactly what you mean! One to unfollow for me I think! Is there anything anybody can do about things like this though? I've seen a few lately that seem to be scammy competitions.

No legal requirement to do so and they could go the route of send them a SAE and they will provide the name and county of the winner (which is pointless as they could say J Smith London etc and it proves nothing)

They're also connected to K.E Lighting and The Space Shop (@TheSpaceShop1).

It does have the hallmarks of sounding too good to be true - small company, big and regular prizes, no formal announcement of winners names.

I can only assume they're doing this to amass numbers of followers on Twitter. Oddly enough, they don't run the same competitions on their Facebook page which whilst it has been up for a few years, has only amassed likes in the double digits.
  • The picture on their contact us page of the woman has been stolen from microsofts page. Definitely looks dodgy to me and too many websites these days with no contact information at all.
