Mortgage-Woolwich,Current Acc-Barclays??

Hi Guys.
Just looking for some impartial advice before I tackle the Woolwich/Barclays merger on 24th June.
Our mortgage is with Woolwich and our current account is with Barclays. The mortgage is the all in one savings/current/mortgage type, but we only ever use it as a mortgage account.
Our day to day living account is a Barclays current account.
When they merge, would we be best to stick as we are or should we combine the two. As we have never used the Woolwich for anything other than paying our mortgage, I don't fully understand the benefits (if any), of off-setting our current account with the mortgage. I have to be honest and say that there isn't normally very much left over in the current account at the end of the month, which is why I'm not sure if it is worth changing.
Thanks

Sorry dmg24. I have no idea where I got Halifax from, I meant Woolwich:o
It just goes to show that maybe advertising does work. Must have had that irritating Halifax guy in the back of my mind;)
Sorry again

I have the woolwich mortgage and never used the current account bit .
The thing I would be wary off is if you combine the mortgage and the current account and then wanted to move mortgage what would happen to your current account .0 -
