Electoral Roll and FTB mortgages

We are FTB's and already have a decision in principle. However I am a little concerned about my OH's electoral roll status.
We only realised over summer that he wasn't on the electoral roll at his parents house. He has been present on the electoral roll at this address since August. However his family home has now been sold and he has since moved in with me at my parents house. We are wondering whether we now need to move him on to the electoral roll at our address and if so how this is going to look on a credit check.
We are in no rush to buy but have found a property we like and I am concerned whether this could effect us. I don't know whether to leave it as it is for now, and obviously once we buy our house he will be listed there, or change it to my parents address and likely end up with three changes of address within a very short period of time.
What should I do for the best? How big a deal is the electoral roll?
Thanks

Depending on the lender they may ask for evidence he lived at whatever addresses are provided if they can not find evidence he was on the electoral roll there - this would usually be in the form of bank statements at those addresses for example.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
