I got the cards for s75 and for one of those days when your bank goes down. At his insistence. For peace of mind. As oh works away a lot and I have to do the day to day house running.

It's mental though IMHO. As although I could probably get a good wedge if we split  it's not guaranteed if he decides to run off with a blonde 21yo and stopped paying into the house. Then I'd be screwed until I got a job :rotfl:

Statistics are' the age of the woman would actually be around 35 if he does do a runner.

Phew good job we are not that age yet then....and I haven't taken the banks up on their kind offers of £10000s of debt.

I have a monthly income of £1100 which has been paid into my bank account for the last 7 years. I am not employed but would like to get a loan , is this possible without proof of income?

I think it is possible, but if you avoid banks. Go to a p2p lender instead. One new option I have been reading about is p2p lending/pawnbroking. Sounds strange at first but seems rather legit. All you need is some asset to back up your loan and it doesn't cost you a penny to sign up for the loan. However, not sure how long you can borrow for. Worth taking a look at that though. I think it's called FundingSecure. Good luck!:)
