Arrangement to pay marker

Hi all
Looking at moving home, however after checking credit reports, an account I have has AR marked against it up until 6 months ago, it's now all green. I am still paying the account.

Rest of report is all green etc

Will this have an adverse effect on applying for mortgage?

10% deposit to out down

Cheers

At 90% it probably will be an issue for most lenders.

Is it visible on all three versions of your credit file? What was the problem?

What is the actual "Insight" information? Is it a string of 11111111111s, or were there 2s and 3s mixed in there?

  • Thanks kingstreet

It's a credit card with MBNA, i had an arrangement to pay with them! which at first they would not convert back to a normal payment, eventually they did and since then every payment has been made and more. All it shows on all credit files is
AR AR AR etc then now it's a normal account again it's all green OKs

It doesn't show as a 1,2 etc anywhere on any of credit files

It would be a joint application, partners credit is perfect, mine all good apart rom this. Joint income of 51k looking to purchase at max 170k

Experian, for example, has a number in the coloured circle to indicate how many months arrears.

Equifax Insight line shows monthly status in a line of 36 numbers to cover the last three years.

Do you have your three statutory credit files, or something else?

  • Hi kingstreet, im trying to post a pic of it but not succeeding at the min.

On Noodle which is the only one i have to hand at the minute its

from oct 2007 it has the circles (AR) then from January 2012 it has the circles with (OK) all of them in green, as far as i can see back its all green

    hope the above makes sense
  • Also i have just checked experian and its showing as all green circles with a (0) in them? this is going back all the way to 61-72 months

    im baffled!

Is the statutory report the same as the one you can see on the free trail of credit expert?

Hi - get these reports to someone qualified and I suspect you will have solutions

Stat reports will give same information, but as you have found the 3 agencies can be inconsistent.

    Good luck

This will immediately raise concerns. An inability to meet the minimum payments on a credit card suggests that your finances aren't in the best state.
  • Hi thrugelmir, thanks for your input

The account hasn't been in an arrangement to.pay since January 2012'

It was in an AR before this as yes I had some hard times and they mbna agreed to stop the interest on the account, the amount I paid was the minimum just without accruing interest. This went on for some time, and as I said I tried on numerous occasions to revert back to a normal account which at first they declined, saying either pay off the full balance or the account stays as it is. Then finally dec 2011 they agreed and account is back to a normal account I can use, which I do use and pay correctly. So I was really wandering how much my past is going to effect me? As not much info on ARs on the internet.

    Thanks again M
