Why does it take so long for the CSA to pay out to the PWC. First payment taken by DD on the 10th of this month but PWC been told she will not be recieving it until the end of november.
Why do they do this does anyone know?
Thanks

Is it payment by the employer? The employer has until the 19th of the following month to make the payment. As such, the end of the month is a realistic estimate as to when money will be received. Once a pattern is established (and assuming the employer sends money on the same day each month), it will become a regular payment each month.
If not, it seems to take the CSA a couple of weeks to push it on through their system and back out again. Again, if payments are done regularly, it will establish a regular flow to the PWC eventually.0 -
No it's come out direct from the NRP's bank, the PWC has'nt had any kind of communication from the CSA since she made the intial call to set it up, it was the NRP who told her yesterday that they took it out on the 10th and they told him the PWC will recieve it at the end of November. I could understand the payment, especially the first one taking a couple of weeks to make it's way into her bank, but 7 weeks seems a bit of an overkill. Oh well it's taken 7 months to get any kind of payment from him so whats a few more weeks.!0

Payments out to PWCs should match their schedules - seems odd that Ty nrp's schedule is for 10th Oct, and payment to PWC isn't until end of Nov. might be worth looking at the payment schedule. She should have received this as a letter after her assessment letter.0

Hi thanks.
She has never had any letter from them, the only contact at all between them is the initial call she made to open a case and they told her it would take 8 weeks to set up well its only been 7 but they have completed the assesment and took the first payment.
The NRP recieved 3 letters, the 1st he ignored because he really thought that the CSA would go away if he ignored them he only replied to the 2nd because it said they were going to contact his employer and he does'nt want anyone to know he has been refusing to pay for his child. The 3rd is an assesment letter.
Hopefullt get sorted today as they PWC is trying to call them as we speak.
Thanks everyone.0 -

In fairness, you don't know what he may or may not be thinking, considering the cases are so private, you seem to know a lot about both party's business. The main thing though is your friend has a case active and hopefully will recieve some regular contribution from the man she chose to have children with.0 -

The reason i know an awful lot is because the 'friend' is my daughter, she has had to take him to mediation and he actually admitted it in the meeting.0 -
Aha, that's why the money hasn't paid out - if an assessment has been made but no schedule ran then the computer system doesn't know what it has to send out nor when. I'd ask the PWC to call the CSA and confirm that the assessment has been carried out. They should also confirm if they've ran a schedule yet. That first payment should be cleared to send out as soon as the schedule has been completed. It's poor form if the Nrp has had his calculation letter before the PWC though, both parties should have been phoned first, with a letter to follow in the post.0

Thankyou that makes sense, she did try ringing them earlier before college but was kept waiting too long so is trying again tomorrow. When she made the original call they told her she asked them what happens next and all they said was they will contact the NRP then she will recieve a text to let her know when the first payment will be made.0
