How will partners BR affect me?

I wouldn't think prison will be involved with that sort of amount but a BRO is highly probable. Getting in touch with the OR asap is the right decision.
Have read of the Look Here First sticky.

And next time don't go to a divorce solicitor about bankruptcy issues, it's very specialist.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
He didn't actually 'go' to a divorce solicitor for advice on insolvency. It was whilst he was there about his divorce and the subject of their debt came up. He then met me many months down the line having been paying everyone £1/ month and we decided to become a couple. It was then that he decided to declare himself BR so that we could have a fresh start together.
When we met, he wasn't working and was quite depressed about his situation. Couldn't work as he had no childcare(family all live abroad) and there all of a sudden was me. Mrs bright and breezy. 'No problems, only solutions'
His ex only sees his sons for an hour twice a week, supervised.
We met on the playground at school. So I was available to take to and from school for him, therefore enabling him to return to work, albeit on a part time basis. He needs his van for work. That was why he didn't declare it. He acted without thinking of the consequences. There is still a lot of anger there as his ex has assumed no responsibility for any of this.0 -
There is a list of current BRU/os somewhere on the insolvency website (sorry, don't remember where exactly).
Most of the BRU/Os seemed a lot more serious than this case. I very much doubt this will result in any kind of criminal action.0
