Hi all ,
My wife has just started a facebook business, selling wooden craft things, she has been working very hard and is making some lovely stuff,
We opened a facebook store, and set up a page, but just wondering how we can get it out there to as many people as possible, our friends have liked it etc, but is quite a limited number,
What are the tricks of the facebook world, we have been avoiding FB for a long time, just not our bag,
but it seems the way forward, for a small biz these days
Any advice much appreciated,
PS I don't think I'm allowed to link to it here am I ?

No, please don't put a link.
You need to join all the local Facebook selling pages and , assuming they allow business sellers to advertise (and some don';t so be careful) put a link to your shop up with a photograph of some of the items.
In Facebook try searching for 'selling/ buying/ trading' etc groups in your area and request to join them.
Be warned though, the market is completely saturated, there are thousands of others all doing the same.
There are also groups that advertise local fairs and events where you can book a stall. Again though, be careful, this is a satuarted market and there is no point in paying £20 for a stall and not selling anything- so go to a few first and see how many others are selling similar goods.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi Alanco
There are many, many different craft networking groups on facebook, I know a few of my friends have had no luck from joining these groups but I have had around £60-70 in sales within last 2 months from other FB businesses and had them pass my details to their friends and family.
Examples of these sites are SITT, HTLMP and Likes & Ladders
I been running a business on FB for almost 3 months now and have found the key to selling is networking, get your name out there, get your friends and family liking and sharing, join these groups and post on their boards, do the 'like hikes' and marches. The more time and effort you put in the more you'll get out of it....and make sure your pictures are FLAWLESS!
