Hi there its been a long time since i have been on here and just popped back on for a little advice.
I had been paying my ex partner child support through the CSA a long while back. Then about six months ago she phoned them up to cancel the claim but i continued to pay her privately through a standing order.
since i have met a new partner she has now decided to get the CSA involved yet again.
I am thinking of moving in with my new partner who has two kids to her former husband.
i am wondering if i am living under her roof with two kids does this have any bearing on how i am assessed?
thanks again
J

Do you know if the case was fully closed, or whether it was just set to private pay?
If you had two kids in your household then you'd be looking at a 20% reduction to the income used for assessment purposes due to the 'relevant other children' in your household.0 -
hi folks thanks for the info. to my knowledge the case was fully closed yes. so thanks again for the info that's very helpful.

If you will be receiving working tax credits as a couple and you earn more than you partner, this will be considered as income though so might balance out and mean your award will be about the same or potentially more.0

Make sure you have confirmation from CSA that the case WAS closed by the pwc.We trusted pwc in our case & ended up with a bill for 'arrears' of £8000.We paid direct to her, have proof of every payment but the CSA take word of person who opened the case(pwc in this case)0
