How much typically to certify our I.D?

We're thinking of approaching our solicitor to certify our I.D as requested by the solicitors acting on behalf of the new lender.
Just wanted to get an idea on whether there is a charge for this and typically how much we should expect to pay for the service?
Thanks

Or just get another copy of your birth certificate from the registry and send them that. It'll be much cheaper. It's already certified.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

I went into a branch of a bank in the same group as my new lender... and they did it for nothing.
(That was after I went into my Bank who refused to do it at all).
Main post offices will also do it for about £7.0
