Euro Car Parks help

I use a retail car park in Oxford at least once a month for shopping etc and never had any problems. The only difference is this time a new supermarket had opened so I decided to a shop while I was there. A couple of weeks later I had a Parking charge notice from Euro Car Parks that had captured my number plate on entry and exit saying I'd overstayed the free 3 hour limit by 30 minutes. I was very angry and shocked at this as I have never noticed any signs about parking. I appealed to Euro Car Parks on the grounds of inadequate signage. They have since rejected my appeal enclosing a photo of the location of signs around the car park. I have been given a popla reference number so now have to draft an appeal. I am finding this a little overwhelming. I have been reading through this forum for a few days and wondering if someone can point me in the right direction. I know what not to appeal on so do I just go with 'no genuine pre-estimate of loss'? I would be very grateful of any advice.
Thank you

I would go with a bit more than that. Like here:

I suspect GPEOL will actually win the day but you want some other catch-all paragraphs just in case of the POPLA assessor having a funny 5 minutes!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Here's one great appeal that has just been written (and posted today) by a complete newbie, who has done their own research and has developed an excellent example on which you can model your own. Have a close look at this. When you're ready with your first draft, post it up here, we'll take a look at it, help with any fine tuning before you send it off to POPLA.

Don't submit the appeal without letting us look over it. Don't take your eye of the POPLA deadline date - if you miss it, that's it, no second chance.
HTHPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thanks for the advice. Going to make a cuppa and have a good read through the link. Will come back if I have any more questions.0
