can I get a mortgage whilst on sick leave

Options
Hi

In August I had my mortgage application approved by Halifax but there has been a delay in moving this forward as the vendor of the property we wish to purchase is delaying the survey until he has found a property he wishes to move to. I have been told our mortgage offer on this property will be valid until February 2014 but a new credit check will be done in november. Meanwhile we are keeping our eyes open for alternative properties should this one fall through. If we did find an alternative property we would need to apply for a new mortgage. Unfortunately I have had an accident at work which means it is likely that I will be off sick for about three months. i receive full pay whilst on sick leave but this is identified on my wage slips. My question is will this identification of being on sick leave affect a mortgage application should I need to make a new mortgage application? Many thanks Suzanne
