Back from pub with 62p still left from my weekly spend challenge and 8/11 AFDs:j, Glad I went and it wasn't really that hard as I new there were two challenges I would loose if I bought a drink!
Payday on Friday
and tomorrow should be a fairly easy NSD as I am on a course all day and nothing social happenning in the evening! Proud to be dealing with my debts!

The bits and bobs are the worst thing.
I'm beginning to realise how bad I am with small impulse spends and I'm in my first Weekly Spend Challenge for a long time this week - it's really highlighting it for me.
Same here, I will have to have a challenge every week and I think next week for me, which is the first week of my pay month, will be a shock! I know I go into town the first weekend and spend loads on absolutely nothing in my budget...:oProud to be dealing with my debts!

Payday tomorrow! I have just checked my bank account and OMG! There is still money in it :money:I am stunned and I know this is because of MSE.
Thank you for the challenges, Weekly spend challenge £10, 62p left; AFD 9/14, I know without these I would have spent a lot more (£45 on wine alone).
Thank you everyone for your comments, threads, thanks and support :A. See you again tomorrow.Proud to be dealing with my debts!

I'm coming at it from the other side (it's been a week since payday!) and I've not been frittering money away or misbehaving :A0 -
DAMN! just realised I haven't made my sealed pot. However, I still have my 62p so I will do that first thing tomorrow. Also got travel reclaim money this month and that will be going to pay for some Christmas dinners I have booked :rotfl:
Lovin' these challenge ideas, they are really helping me xx
Start of the month for me today so have planned a budget, entered todays grocery spend on an APP for budgeting and started to buy some Christmas pressies.Proud to be dealing with my debts!

Hey there,
Hope you don't mind me following your diary?

I wouldn't worry too much about making a sealed pot. The first time I did it I used an empty ice-cream tub which I wrapped in Christmas paper and sealed with LOTS of sticky tape. It did just fine and I had a few hundred pounds at the end of the year

I'm just doing the AFD one as you know and the weekly spend challenge. Have only really just finished my first week but feeling strangely proud that I have managed. I have been in debt so long that I can't imagine what it will be like to be debt free but I know now that I will be and it will be in a year or maybe two.Proud to be dealing with my debts!

So, off to the pub today, I dance with a group who practice in a pub. but didn't buy a single drink so that was a NSD for me. Bought the weekly groceries this morning but as that was in budget I'm not counting it. I'm really pleased with my first week and want to thank MSE and in particular, those of you who are following/commenting on my little posts:D
Challenges for the coming week
AFD - currently 10/14 plan for ROM 14/14

Sealed Pot Challenge - 62p but I'm clearing the basement tomorrow so expecting to find loads of coppers.
Christmas - already bought pressies which is new for me, normally don't buy anything till 1st December.Proud to be dealing with my debts!
