What a great week, really well done :T
I loved the not buying a drink and not losing two challenges comment - that is serious dedication to the cause.
Your positivity is very inspirational and don't worry, I haven't made a sealed pot either, am using a Maltesers bucket left over from a Christmas a few years back. I might get round to sealing it one day :rotfl:Back on the DFW Wagon:

Found an old money box while tidying up today. There's about £4 in coppers and another £7.50 in pounds, fifty and twenty pences! Coppers in a plastic box which I'll add to if I find anymore. Larger coins have gone into the parking money purse so as I don't have to park in the more expensive pay as you leave car parks.
Today has been a NSD apart from groceries which are in budget.
Have sorted my eBay account so that I can add items to sell which I will do this week.Proud to be dealing with my debts!

What a fab find of the money box - you're on a roll now and happy listing for eBay. :T
Parking costs are so expensive these days, at least it helps me stay out of the town and shops :rotfl:
I need an NSD or two or three - I'm going to aim for one tomorrow!Back on the DFW Wagon:

Did you manage it?What a fab find of the money box - you're on a roll now and happy listing for eBay. :T

I went into town to get my hair cut today and things sort of deteriorated from that! Went over my clothing budget
but managed to avoid Costa for coffee and cake. I actually got into the queue then left! Most of my spending was on Christmas pressies and managed to keep parking cost down. However, I haven't recorded my spend on my budgeting APP so I need to drag out all the receipts and do that now, then I will feel a bit better. Definitely need a NSD but out tomorrow for Halloween so will be difficult. Think I'm going to be over my Weekly Spend Challenge this week

I need to add things up, but I think I'm over my challenge too. I ended up in Sainsbury's and succumbed to the 25% off clothes thing to get a jumper for Mr Mooo and some new undies for me (last of the big spenders!)Rosepetal1701 wrote: »Think I'm going to be over my Weekly Spend Challenge this week

No luck on NSD yesterday or today here. I think I'll probably write this week off for trying, as am getting alot of Xmas shopping done and out the way before work kicks in again on Monday and luckily I don't get the chance to spend then as fit in my working day between school hours and then eves where I need to.
Bought DS a top in the SB sale yesterday and we went to the cinema last night, beyond that I've kept away from treats and impulse purchases and food budget is on track.
The upside of DS being tall and broad for his age is his summer t-shirts fit me so have kept those and will feel like I have new tops next summer

I did manage a NSD in that I didn't spend any money other than budget. However, DS is relocating to other side of the country next week and I have lent him money to buy a network card to reduce his travelling costs. I see additional lending on the cards as he will not get paid for a month and will need to pay deposit on whatever accommodation he ends up in!
OH has just told me that he is stopping smoking tomorrow:money:(he has been off and on them for a couple of years) so I will do my best to be supportive! I'm 4 years smoke free this week as it happens
and a quick calculation shows me I have saved at least £7,500! Proud to be dealing with my debts!

Well done on your NSD and your 4 year Quit anniversary :T
Is OH going cold turkey or using any NRT stuff? I started on e-cigs over a week ago and really pleased with how I'm doing. Daren't post too much about it in case I fall off the wagon (again)
and it was cost neutral in the first week with paying out for the main kit. Should realise big savings from this week onwards - costing @ £3 per week on e-cig compared to £50
Sounds like an expensive time ahead to help DS with his move and through that first month. Is he coming back for Xmas to eat you out of house and home?

Thanks Ali, he is using patches. We spent the day at the cinema, we have Cineworld cards as we are real movie lovers, and that kept him occupied

Hopefully DS will be able to come home for Christmas and he will definitely eat everything in sight
Will use some of my PPI refund to help him get set up. He realises the foolishness of CCs thankfully so he won't go down that road at least.
Happy Halloween Everyone xxProud to be dealing with my debts!

Tonight was a mostly good night. Planned dinner out and alcohol but a bit disappointed as dinner should have been followed by theatre
, which was cancelled due to illness. Ticket refund to be claimed!
Off to London tomorrow which will involve some spending! But visiting museums which will reduce costs
