Best places to buy meat for SC

Options
Ok we have an Aldi, lidl and a morrisons where we live, with a tesco and asda further out. Our nice local butcher is gone and the other is very expensive. I was looking for some recommendations for good supermarket meat? Beef, pork, sausages etc for all my sc winter dinners as ive not been too impressed with some supermarket meat, they are either fatty/not nice texture or expensive! Can anyone help? Or even let me know some more expensive items that come on offer so I can try them and stock up. Trying to look after the pennys but keep some quality.

Thanks

Out of the ones you've listed I've found Aldi to be the best for value and quality, Morrisons would be second choice (don't have one that close so don't shop there often but have been happy with it), I can't stand the poor quality in Tesco and Asda and would rather go without meat than buy from there.

I do still have a great local butcher so I get most of my meat there but usually top up in Aldi.

Which meat have you tried from aldi? Wasnt impressed with the mince but have only tried that and the whole chickens. Looking for beef mostly!

I don't like mince so not tried it but I buy the whole chickens, chicken thighs/drumsticks and quick fry steaks quite often.

I've had some lamb chops/steaks, pork chops, sausages and bacon too.

All have them have been nice, not quite what I get from the butcher but around half the price so always my go to place on a tighter budget some months or when I can't the butcher during opening hours.
