Make Up Sensitive Skin

I need to buy a full set of make up for a family occasion next year. Haven't worn make up for years as my skin has always been sensitive but has got worse recently. I know I will need to go in to shops to get a make over to see what suits but was looking for some suggestions about where to start. Don't want to spend mega money. Used to wear M&S fragrance free which they no longer make, Boots own makes and have worn the body shop but was never sure about that. Found that expensive makes were the worst for me.
Is there anyone with a similar problem that can offer some assistance.
Thanks for any help.

You could try Mineral make up? I have the same skin type and its ok for me. A lot of products can now double up to do two jobs. Maybe you could ask for a make over at a counter and then try to copy with a cheaper brand?0

Sounds like you are allergic to the fragrances, they tend to put them in more expensive makeup to make them smell and sound better. Fragrances really aren't needed and a common irriate, but if you stick enough posh sounding things on a bottle you can sell it for alot more than its worth.
As someone else said mineral makeup may be your best bet.
Bare mineral is amazing and looks natural and very easy to apply.
Its great for a wedding and mature skin as doesn't sit in fine lines and stays on all day whilst remaining light weight. I think debenhams have a counter you could go for a consulation there.
QVC are doing an offer right now on bare minerals for a full set of the foundation, mineral veil (finishing powder type), blush, mascara and lipgloss plus a brush to apply it all for £28 which is very cheap for what it is.0
