    I use them as a topping for pasta bakes. Even nicer if mixed with grated cheese.

    There's an earlier thread with more suggestions so I'll add your thread to it to keep the ideas together.

  • They'll be good to eat for ages and ages yet. I virtually live on food past it's best before including dairy products and meat and I have never been ill off them.

    A good way to use the crisps up if they are stale though is to use them in place of breadcrumbs. Fishfingers are good made using the blocks of coley you can buy pre-frozen. Defrost the fish slice into fingers. Coat in egg then roll through the crisps - add more egg then more crisps if you like. Then bake in the oven until done!

    People have stale crisps??? They don't have fairies who eat them all and complain there aren't any left for packed lunches??

  • Found 2 x 6 bag packets of crisps that are out of date (dont ask!) - opened a packet but they arent nice - rather than chuck them away :eek: has anyone got any ideas for using them up? thanks

    You can use them as part of the topping on pasta bakes

    Crisps can sometimes be revived by putting in micrwave for a couple of minutes.

    I'd go with the pasta bake idea. Works a treat with soggy crisps.
