How to make money by doing surveys - advice please

I've been avidly following all the advice on this board to cut down my outgoings and now I'm looking at ways of increasing my income in whatever way possible. I've never sold stuff on Ebay before so that's something I'll be finding out about shortly. I also have a tiny amount of gold jewellery that I never wear so that's another thing to do.

But re surveys: I've often seen forum members mention that they do surveys to make money. How do I go about this please? I saw a post on DFW the other day that mentioned mystery shopping so I've applied to Grass Roots and am waiting to hear from them. Are there other places that forum members can suggest?

Thank you.
