It's still dodgy, but I'm having a bit more success by stopping the page from loading, by clicking on the X button, when its obvious it's not loading. Then I wait a few secs and reload. Sometimes that works straight off, sometimes I need to do it a few times, but it does seem to work eventually. Perhaps it is because the problem is intermittent, so reloading is the best way to catch it when it's ok?
