FREE Christmas Gifts?

Options
Okay - First time post but here goes!

My partner was forced to leave work last month unexpectedly, as you can imagine it's put a huge strain on our finances.

Anyway, Christmas is nipping at our heels and we're absolutly skint! Everyone else's Christmas presents have luckily already been purchased (thank god)

Does anyone have any unique free or as cheap as possibly Christmas gift ideas??

P.S (We're not the "romantic" type so no love vouchers, poems, letters..etc) HAHA!

Thanks in advance!

Claire

Honestly? Don't bother. We don't as money is always tight.
  • I appreciate that but regardless i have too. Christmas is massively important to me.
Last year we had a awful Christmas due to a close family member being in hospital and our first Christmas was ruined because of a family member stealing of us a month before (over £2,500 they took out of our Christmas fund)

I want to make this one as special as our first one together should of been!
  • Maybe worth watching the freebies board for a few weeks to see if there is anything you can pick up. I think it's probably a case of being patient and keeping a close eye but I would think certainly worth the time and effort.

Hopefully some other more imaginative people than me will be along soon with more creative ideas.

    Good luck!

Do you have any Tesco clubcard vouchers/Nectar points/Boots advantage points that you could use to buy gifts ? Failing that keep your eye out for bargains and offers on this thread

As long as you are together then that is all that really matters . I would arrange to do things together over the holiday period like walking in the woods or going to see a lovely film, well you get my gist don't you? making a lovely meal together or for each other or taking photos and putting them in an album for each other there are so many things you can do together and for each other. You don't need money or presents to show how much you love one another or to make this xmas your best ever.

  • how about a movie fest with popcorn etc, you could work out what to watch from the tv times. then board game olympics ( can beg or borrow) cooking from a xmas recipe book together, there is even a 4 ingredient xmas cookbook. I dont know where you are but , but there is an xmas day swim at local beach, a boxing day fun run and mummers on boxing day. ill keep thinking
  • Check out Pinterest and maybe make something, you will be amazed at how cheaply you can make some really lovely presents :)
