Using shares to reduce mortgage borrowing

I have some shares I would gladly use to finance a house purchase I am looking at, but if I sell them all I will incur 28% CGT. Is there any legitimate way I can set the shares against the mortgage and sell my allowance each year?
Thanks in advance

Obtain a part repayment / part interest only mortgage.
Then realise a gain within your annual CGT allowance to pay down the mortgage.0 -
Have you done the sums? The CGT is on the gain (after your allowance), so sale price - purchase price - annual allowance = taxable gain.
taxable gain X appropriate income tax rate = tax to payIANAL etc.0
