Quick cherry brandy recipe?

Hi everyone :)

OH and I picked LOADS of cherries from our little village fields, and they're all in the freezer.

I planned to make cherry brandy with them for Christmas gifts, but I've left it a bit long, it's now Christmas in like, a minute, and all the recipes I've seen say to let them sit in the brandy for three months... I ain't got three months! :o

Has anyone got a quicker recipe than this that still turns out nice brandy?

This one is only 2 months - if you make it today you might just do it.

Don't forget that it always tastes better when it has matured for at least a year ;)

What can you do with the cherries once they have infuse in the brandy?? is It possible to make them into jam/preserve/ fruit sauce or just use them as they are?

I would make a cherry brandy conserve, perfect for filling a black forest type cake
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

what a lovely addition to home made ice cream! or even just bottle them and put them in with cocktails.
personally, I would just eat them - I love brandied cherries. they may be improved with a nice coat of chocolate (for chocolate lovers).
