I'm currently using an independent broker - he's very experienced and supportive but sounding increasingly despondent.
Did you make him aware of the PDLs...he should have known NatWest would not have been an option
  • Hi Caz,

I didn't - and that wasn't with the intention of deceiving anyone - I think my wife just thought 'they were loans, they were paid off on time, therefore if anything, they will help improve my credit score.' I think many people think the same way.

So, Natwest were always going to reject us - does anyone know of a lender that isn't 'turned off' by PDLs?

Natwest is the least payday loan friendly and it is an automatic decline.

Your broker should establish the most suitable lender and has more information and specific details than us on here, so I doubt if any broker will name drop lenders without full disclosure.

You and/or your broker need to bottom out this 8 in 2011 settled. As ACG suggested whether this is represented as a default or not, is the single most determining factor of the entire application and not the payday loans which you are rounding on.

Is there a default date listed on Experian, Equifax and/or Call Credit?

an 8 on experian is a default http://experian.metafaq.com/help/Statutory/Credit_report/status_codes
8 The account is in default. You failed to keep to your credit agreement and have not responded satisfactorily to requests to put your account in order, so the credit agreement has ended.
