Amazon order dispatched but haven't taken money?

I placed an order with amazon late evening on the 14th. I know they dont take the money straight away but usually the next morning. But yesterday morning I noticed the exact amount became "available" again in my balance. My bank has previously advised me that money "held" will only be held for 3 working days, and if it isn't requested by then, it will "drop" off.
But then yesterday evening I had a dispatch email from amazon, stating the items have now left the warehouse and the order can no longer be changed.
The tracking status just says "in transit", with the next stage being "out for delivery" (yodel).
The tracking page on Yodel itself states "your parcel is awaiting collection" with the next stage being "with yodel".
So im a bit confused. Does it look like this order is going to be delivered? The money is still waiting in my bank for them to take it if they decide to today, im just worried they will cancel the order and a lot of the items have now shot up in price!

The Amazon delivery system is all messed up at the moment
I ordered something last week and when i was given the tracking number it showed that the item was delivered and signed for 6 months before i ordered 300 miles away0 -
Oh dear so looks like i might not be getting it then!
using those cowboys Yodel doesnt help either. I was hoping that they'd be taking the money as soon as it was actually out for delivery on the van.

Yep their tracking is all messed up, I had the same as above the tracking showed I had signed for it over 18 months before hand, and that was via DPD not Yodel0

I find that Amazon transactions rarely show as pre-authorised, but get processed within a few days. This is particularly the case with Kindle purchases.0

Well i've just checked back on amazon and the tracking info changed just before 4pm to say parcel arrived at carrier facility but still says "in transit" rather than out for delivery. I still find it extremely strange that they haven't taken the money yet, never had this happen before with amazon, the money is always taken from my available balance before its dispatched.0

I'm having no trouble with Amazon deliveries. I've bought quite a few things over the past 2 weeks. I'd be inclined to contact the seller and remind them they haven't taken payment. Honesty saves complications later.0

Amazon state they only take money when the item is dispatched.
Is it in that stage when they say it's dispatched but "this may take anywhere from a few hours to a few days"?
Is it the weekend when they dispatched it?
Your bank might be slow.
Don't worry about it though. If on the odd chance Amazon have messed up, you'll get the item free0 -
Tbh I think Amazon have got a few problems at the minute. The other week I ordered something and when I got the dispatch email it had the price of what I`d payed but underneath it had another price £10 more so I emailed them about it. They emailed back more or less straight away saying they were having some problems with the payment/despatch dep and would get in touch within 3 days . This they did , saying they were investigating it all .0

Well just to let everyone know, the items were all delivered today, and payment still hasnt been taken. Im sure they'll cotton on sooner or later, im just glad the items arrived, even though im quite disappointed to find one of the boxes very damaged (the actual display box of a doll, not he packaging box). All 11 items came in a huge box and were literally just thrown in, with one strip of that brown paper thrown on top. Not like Amazon at all, ive always found them to be excellent at packaging.
BTW, all items were dispatched and sold by Amazon, rather than a private seller.
I also placed another order yesterday and payment for that was taken and the order dispatched today, so imagine payment will go through fine for that one. its a bit annoying having to constantly remember to leave that amount in the bank waiting for them to take it. If they dont, they dont.0
