Well, that's it... No Big Bang, no congratulations, no champagne on ice and not even an email from payplan (despite asking what happens next not once, but three times over the last month).

I just don't seem to feel anything now that I have made my last payment for my IVA.

Is this normal?

  • Congratulations on making the last payment and I am sure you will feel some sort of mini celebration when the next months payment is all yours to keep. Fingers crossed that the completion certificate is not too long in turning up and then it will definitely feel like it is all over.

  • How did you feel when the phone calls, letters and people chasing money stopped when you first started your IVA?

It should be that feeling plus you being the IVA payment richer from now on.

I think I would relax but payplan have still not acknowledged any emails or answered my question which I find very poor.

  • I can sympathise with you on that one, having recently done a F&F IVA not only does it seem kind of odd to no longer be having a deluge of letters and phone calls from my creditors after an epic 20 month process, but the wait for the PPI to be processed and the all important completion certificate to be issued means I am not entirely relaxed about my debts until that happens.

Good luck and I hope you hear something from Payplan soon.
