Questions about credit reports

Hi All,
I'm looking for a bit of advice, my husband and i have some debts and to be honest we've buried our heads in the sand a bit. I'm now trying to round up exactly what we owe, I have kept a lot of the letters we've received but not the original contracts. I also today did credit reports for each of us from the 3 credit referencing agencies, however some of the accounts that I have letters for are not listed on any of our credit reports. None of our debts are recent but at the same time the ones that i can't see i doubt are statute barred. Has anyone experienced this before? Are they likely to just appear in the future sometime?
I do intend on paying all of the accounts if they are ours but it's a bit of a mess at the moment and I'm trying to prioritise, as we're in a lucky position to be able to offer settlement figures to a lot of them over a period of months.
Any input is welcome!

Hi, have you got recent letters about these debts ? are they with original creditor or a debt collector ? do any of them pre-date April 2007 ? if not on your credit report, they may have already fallen off, ie, be more than 6 years old.
Sort out what is recent and what is not, are they loans, creditcards, catalogue debts ? mixture of the above, bit more detail please.:)I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Sorry about the lack of detail,
the missing items are:
1 payday loan - taken in October 11
2 payday loan - taken in early 2012
2 overdrawn bank accounts from late 2011 - same bank 2 difference accounts
The letters for the bank state that they have been sold (letters dated early 2012) but no further correspondance on them, i have other debts that have been sold and they appear on my credit file as settled and a new account opened with the buyer of the debt.
The payday loans, for one i only have a default notice dated 2011, for the other two i have letters from Debt collectors, i dont have them on me to see who the collectors are though!
Is there anything more that would help?
