Finally a ray of hope :)

Just before lunch I got the post and in it I receive the most exciting letter I've had in ages. I've just been accepted for a normal current account!!! This is a very positive step as I've only been able to get a basic cash account since September 2007.

Who are the bank to give me this new start? The TSB.

Yes I still have active defaults and am paying debts off but I can not believe that for once I, (yes little old me) have been given this slight ray of hope that things are getting onto the right track.

I just wanted to share as I did not think this day would ever come but please stay positive even if you are in a position like I was when you think nobody will ever touch you again, I know it's not a credit card etc but I have a Visa debit card instead of Electron as I've previously had but I thing its a good start.
Been there, done that and Ebay'd the t shirt.

  • Congratulations!...:T
  • That's great news.

From now onwards, and little by little, your credit report will continue to improve, especially once the last debt and the last default is off your file.
  • It's the little things that keep us going! Well done and glad that things are improving for you.

I felt like that when, after months of being rejected for 0% cards, I started getting accepted again so I could pay more off the balance and less on interest.

    Take care
