hi all
just put an application for a mortgage in but it has been referred to the underwriters because my address isn't matching credit reports properly
the problem is....
for the last 3 years i've been using the incorrect address for where i live... not on purpose.. but i'm worried this will have messed things up
for example...
1. the address i use for my bank/car loan/credit card/broadband isn't registered with the post office
2. i'm not on the electoral roll at the address i've been accidentally using
(hope that makes sense)
hopefully it will get sorted
but i;m very worried

Contact your local authority and asked to be added to the Electoral role, many offer a form which can be downloaded from the councils website.
Contact all of your creditors etc in writing providing the correct address and explaining the error.
Dependant on the lender, you will likely need to give an explanation why you are not currently on the Electoral role along with the normal proof of address etc.
What address do you have on your driving license? the right or wrong one?0
