I would recommend visiting a good butchers, I had a three bird roast withduck, chicken and turkey with stuffing. The taste and quality was amazing, Ihave seen these supermarket version but have never gone for them as they do notlook as fresh and good as the butchers.

as i understand it you can have one item say the mincepies in your shop but i saw a man put through his shopping with the mince pies in and then get another box paid for on their own ...might vary store to store
    onwards and upwards
  • Apologies if this has been posted before - I had a quick search and couldn't find anything.

What do people think of the Lidl three bird roast? Would you have it for Christmas lunch? And if so, how many people do you think one roast would feed comfortably?

    Thanks

We had one of these one christmas.
    It was lovely.
A relative had a 3 bird roast from M&S costing about £35 or £45 at the same time and she didn't like it.

I'd say it would easily serve 6.

We tried one last week it was very nice but I prefer a turkey crown to be honest there's more meat on it .We also had one from Aldi's which was very good also but we omitted the marmalade glaze .

Just a reminder for those who were lucky enough to find an Aldi 12 weeks of Christmas brochure with the coupons that this week has the 20% of the 4 bird Roast. Price will then be £7.99 Went into my Aldi just after 9am and not many left! It's one per coupon per transaction.

And Lidl seem to have scored a bit of an "own goal" with the advert for theirs ...

If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5? :)
