Apex Credit

I have a payment plan with the above for a Tesco Credit card I had once.

I have just checked my credit rating which states I am in default with credit card to the tune of £2200.

My balance with Apex is £1176.61

Where is my money going if Tesco still say I owe them over £2200?

There should be 2 balances on your report. Default balance is what you owed when it defaulted. Won't ever change. Current balance should also be listed and should be going down? If current balance is not going down then you need to complain.

The balance is the same, it's not going down. Just sent an email to Apex. So worried about where my money has gone, I'm trying to get this paid off and now I've got another grand added to my troubles!

Your money hasn't disappeared. You've still paid it off. It's just that Apex haven't updated your credit files to show that.

Your credit file balance is not a live statement of what you owe. It's just for information.
