Should I apply again.....

Hi all, I know it's difficult to give accurate advise on here, but general question. We have applied to natwest for a mortgage help to buy on a new build. We both work, good credit etc but the application was rejected. Our financial advisor is going to hopefully establish exactly the reason why but seems to think that it's because of little debts here and there that may affect our affordability and suggest consolidating so that we have just the one loan going out each month so our monthly outgoings look a lot less.
My question is, now that natwest have rejected this app is it actually worth applying with another lender. In past natwest haven't been particularly helpful with me even though I bank with them. I know we are limited on who lends for help to buy but was thinking of trying Barclays etc. or is it best practise now to wait...
Thank you

Yes it is considering another lender - your financial adviser should be dealing with this - no?I am a Mortgage Broker

Yes absolutely but I find that I always get good advice and perhaps others with examples of if this has happened to them if I post. I'm guessing the financial advisor would not have applied if he didn't think we were up to scratch in the first place. Just don't want that huge dent in my credit history by numerous applications etc.0

Leave it to your adviser - who knows your situation. If you do not already have copies of your credit file(s) get one first.I am a Mortgage Broker
