Moving Debt Around before CCCS?

Hi Firstly I would like to say hello to you all as I am newbie here :j

I was made redundant from my job of 6 years in February, since then i have
been living of my savings which are quickly running out,

I have been claiming JSA and that gives me a income of £236.60 a month,
but after talking to a skills coach yesterday I am considering going to start
a foundation degree in IT, and working part time, trying to plan longterm rather than get back into deadend job again

but in the meantime I need to try to get my credit card debit under control
As I cant afford to make the minimum payments anymore, And I would still
struggle if I was working part time, I have been paying them the minimum till now but my savings have gone, and I need to arrange a longterm fix especially if I go to college

Here are my details
Natwest owe £3985.19 limit £5900 Monthly Min £89.00
Lloyds owe £3776.12 limit £4600 Monthly Min £ 77.00
Skycard owe £1506.56 limit £1540 Monthly Min £104.00
Barclaycard owe £862.19 limit £900 Monthly Min £41.00

Would there be any benefit in moving the Skycard/Barclaycard
debit to Natwest and Lloyds, easier to administer 2 rather than 4?
before I contact CCCS?

I think I wouldn't move them around. You've recognised the problem and identified a suitable source of help (CCCS). Just phone them and start the ball rolling.

LTSB are probably the creditor that they find most difficult to work with (there have been some previous posts on this topic) so your plan isn't going to make your case any easier. And why should you give Sky/Barclaycard preferential treatment?

Welcome to DFW by the way!

    Welcome to the board :)

I would just contact CCCS now, I've heard of creditors getting upset about increases in debt just before entering into a DMP, even though technically you aren't increasing it overall.

Hi Oliver, I may be wrong but I am almost sure that when I started my Dmp with CCCS one of their criteria for accepting a client was that they had to owe money to at least 3 seperate creditors. Hope this helps. If I am wrong I'm sure someone can correct me.

    Good Luck
