Loyalty checker - ipoints

Ive been saving ipoints for ages not really sure of what they were worth put in points on loyalty checker 4416 this equated to £189 (wow). However when I went to spend the points I calculated roughly they were worth about £5 per 1000. Oh dear I seem to have gone wrong somewhere with ipoints as Ive just received payment from greasy palm and quidco which i was really pleased with. Could not find ipoints mentioned in Martins write up on cashbacksites - but I must have got the info from this site ages ago when i first started collecting them.
1) Have I got my calculations right and is loyalty checker wrong.
2) Whats the best way to redeem ipoints to get the most out of them.
3) Should I avoid ipoints and go for other sites instead.
Any help would be greatfully received. Thank you

If you go to
http://www.ipoints.co.uk/redeem/search/?rewardValue=2501&rewardCat=&x=78&y=6
there is a list of items you can have with points of similar value to yours.
There doesn't seem very much choice really. You used to be able to exchange points for vouchers but I don't see that option.
A while ago they devalued ipoints, meaning you had to earn more points for rewards.
Hope you find something0 -
The amount they are worth depends on what you redeem them on - some rewards are better value than others, and they have started sending gift vouchers out Special Delivery (the cost of which has been added on to the points value).
The points checker doesn't seem to be taking into account the recent revalue of ipoints - 1 old ipoint is now 10 ipoints - everyone's balance got multiplied by 10 overnight and the prices of rewards went up accordingly. I would say £20 is probably a rough guide to how much your points are worth.0
