I use mine in Argos.
Yeah you can, and you can double up etc. in other places too. I just prefer to use them on my groceries in Sains., just easier. Perhaps losing out like the same as normal people who simply put everything in the basket whatever they need each week regardless of cost, rather than 'chase the offers'. But...life's too short! Sometimes, just have to go and do it and not spend time looking and searching around.
My Halifax current account currently has an offer of 10% cashback (on whatever is spent in one transaction) at Argos - may use that, if you have the same, in conjunction with Nectar points spend? [Edit: thought about it more though, then that means not spending as much on the debit card and thus less cashback:(.] Nice idea..shame it doesn't work!!0 -

No point spending much in excess of your Nectar points on an under-£20 shop. As the overspend, beyond the points, gets nothing back. And, if you do a £20+ shop (amount is, I gather, after any Nectar points spend has been deducted), if you ever get a "you have saved..." shop, you have lost! (Thought about this again today after seeing a "you've saved" coupon on the floor. I've never yet had any of those coupons!:D) If Sains. was cheaper and you've 'saved', shouldda bought the equivalent of those items in T, or in A for 10% cheaper than S! Unless it was completely whoopsies (of decent prices and not 80ps of course!) - that's the only time ever a "saved" coupon isn't a loss!
In my view(!).

Yes I heard that! Works out worse, as it's not "any amount". It's £5 minimum or over. So wouldn't have let me spend just £2.50 'worth'. Increasing the amount you need to collect (give to them as an interest-free loan until the point you spend them) isn't my idea of a good thing, although it would allow use of the few nectar points remaining over the £2.50 divisible amounts. Also sadly live too far from the stores in England that had the special Sains. double-ups on to have made that worthwhile.0 -
