    Good morning all,

I managed to snare a couple of snakes this morning (2 transactions) on my way to work, I've been hunting for a few days without too much luck. There were still 4 left on the the shelf (@Pilsw0rth). I've also got 2 more ordered on a C&C for after work so I'm hoping it doesn't end today.

I've not caught up yet but please don't go, FloFlo.

    Bye for now,

A "trigger" will NOT show on your APG so as you need at least 8 items comparing, do not count your trigger as one of them. The "trigger" forces the other items (e.g.biscuits) to compare more favourably for you.:D Does that help?

And don't try and buy eg 2 sets of trigger items from the same offer at the same time. You risk the extra items taking place of the trigger and it would then kick in the correct price of 3 for £5 instead of only seeing 2.

(I think that's right but may have worded it better)

thank you, i think so. so if i were for example to buy 3x (3 £5 items for £10?) items then added a "trigger" as well as the 8 needed comparable lines, the trigger would not come up on the apg nor the multibuy 3 items but would show 2 items because of the final cost?
(the biscuits on shown receipts show 2 tins.)
and the triggers in a store work across other multibuys?

I've already caught 2 snakes this morning but I have a "compulsion" that must be bought in 2's :D

Need to do a few kitty cat's methinks. Am i right in thinking cats like instinct? :p:rotfl:

*disclaimer - I'm not putting off newbies (or The Master ;)), i'm making myself laugh and having a bit of fun :D

These cats are not instinctive in any way so steer well clear ;)
  • Good morning all,
Hope you are all well today, looking brighter out thank god!
I have a poorly little kitty this morning who wants to be carried round like a baby, bless him :-(
Did my first APG shop yesterday and have started to fill my shoe boxes, THANKYOU to you all for your help xx
  • I will try to explain it out for you...

A trigger is an item which is included in a Multi-buy, it appears on your receipt making the multi-buy kick in at the till but it DOES NOT appear on the APG so, the APG then sees that you have only bought the other items in that said offer and compares accordingly.
As the trigger item DOES NOT appear on the APG, it therefore DOES NOT count towards one of your qualifying 8 items.

ie... the xmas chocs for instance...

1x Ferrerro cone and 2x Vinni Tins, the till will see all 3 items in the offer and charge you £10, but when you enter the receipt into the APG, the APG DOES NOT see the Ferrerro cone, so it thinks that you paid full price for the other 2 items, in this case the Vinni Tins which are £5 each and will compare against Tesco where they are only £3 each.

Does that make it any clearer?

well said Classy :T Very succinct (i love that word.) What is everyone's favourite word? I have a few: blustery, personification, onomatopoeia, succinct

I think I'll take a break from here for a while, and I'd apreciate it if the Tesco c&cs were called something else, I don't care if people check back and name it after the real original finder or just name it something else but it will mean I won't have to close my account on here.

If you go then it will mean that the s--- stirring faction have won again. This seems to happen every few months - something to do with excessive sunspot activity affecting brains maybe ?

Classy did a good explanation. But essentially, yes, the trigger shows on your receipt on store (and gives you the multibuy discount of 3 for £10) but NOT on your APG.

Triggers in store only work on certain items, not ALL multibuy items, just the 3 for £10 for example.

Normally, the "trigger" item will show on A but NOT on MyS. That's sometimes how people figure out/trial what could glitch.
