Well after Tosco and Sainsbobs shops today I was feeling a bit dirty.

    :(

So I've decided to treat myself.

    :)

Thought I'd have a nice long soak.

    :D

    Hi all,
Hope you are all well today.
I am thinking of doing my first APG. thinking that I will get the lynx/impulse etc to make up shoeboxes to send out to our troops.
Not too sure that cobra will travel so well so will have to think of other fillers!!!

This sounds like a great idea :T

I could be wrong, and no doubt my fan club will shoot me down if I am..:D .

Is there an issue with sending aerosol cans on aircraft ?

    It is compressed gas.
Back to square one, no apg, no comment.

    Ahhhh ok thanks for that.
I will have a look later on. Sure shower gels etc will come in handy for them tho.
I know they always appreciate tissues and the ladies like sanitary products, so lets hope for some more good glitches :D

That's a lovely thing - i hadn't thought of it. My A always sells cheap * ahem, look away now boys * "ladies things", normally £1 or 50p.

    Found this - operation shoebox

Im just about to go on the school run katielou but there's a list of suggested items somewhere. I'll find it when I get back and post it. Useful for anyone else that wants to do some. I think there were a few of us last year.

ETA. I see tiger has found it

So what was the APG on these? Just trying to work out whats best as the wife does SW so goes through beans like no one else...thinking about it, me and my 10 eggs and a chicken everyday and her with her baked beans...crikey...yet we never blow off in front of eachother...NEVER! Anyone else the same? The wife hates it with a passion!
This made me LOL so much!

When I first read that I thought it said 'blowing off' while in a passion!! :rotfl::rotfl:

    No aerosols....

    Donations:
We do ask for a donation £1 per box to taped to the lid of the box, this donation covers packaging materials and where necessary petrol expenses if we have to travel out of area, please note no box is ever refused if this donation is missing.

    Collecting your shoeboxes
In order to minimise our collection costs please note the following:
if your organisation intends to put together a number of shoeboxes, please register your collection and interest in doing this by emailing info@operationshoebox.co.uk BEFORE you start your collection.
you are welcome to drop off your shoeboxes to either a drop off point or with one of our co-ordinators. If you would like us to collect we need to the box donation to meet travel costs.
if you require, we can offer assistance and support thus ensuring your collection of boxes gets out to Afghanistan as quickly as possible.

    Items that will be rejected
We would however ask you to note that we simply cannot accept either chocolate, marzipan, aerosols, glass jars and bottles, sharp or inflammable objects and with respect for the traditions of the country our troops are serving in we would ask you NOT to include any alcohol or adult magazines which may cause offence and the recipient may risk facing disciplinary action.

  • Dont bother with the beans if you're near Redditch, they'll be on the boot sales for sure.
