Stereophonics have been delivering their own brand of classic rock since 1992 when they formed in Cynon Valley, Wales.
After releasing their d!but album, “Word Gets Around”, in 1997 the band achieved mainstream success with the release of “Performance and Cocktails” in 1999 and have achieved a total of ten top ten singles with their first number one in 2005, "Dakota".
Frontman Kelly Jones’ main guitar is a Cherry Red Gibson SG, referred to by some as the ‘Kellycaster'. His other Gibson favourites include a J200 Acoustic, CS-336 Hollowbody and a Les Paul Goldtop which he uses on some of the band's heavier tracks.
Their eighth studio album, “Graffiti On The Train” was released in March 2013 by the band’s own label, Stylus Records. The record was well received by both fans and critics reaching number 3 in the UK album chart and selling over 200,000 copies in the UK alone.
